6th May 2013
April Vacation Care program was very successful; we were averaging of 39 children a day. On many days we had a waiting list and could not accept walk-ins. To avoid future disappointment please book early – our vacation care is open for enrolment 4 weeks before the end of each term. Booking early also helps us to program, roster staff and order resources for the program. Many children also did not have water bottles on excursions. It is very important to pack water for your child everyday as excursion venues do not always have bubblers.
Term 2 Activities
Mondays – Art Classes: Mosman Council has provided us with a grant to provide art classes for our children in OOSH. They will be running for seven weeks this term by Nadine, an art/graphic design university student.
Tuesdays – Soccer: As part of the Active After School Care Program we will be learning how to play soccer. Our fantastic coach from term 1, Greg, will be returning.
Wednesdays – Culture Craft: Each week we will be learning about a different culture. This culture will be the inspiration for a new craft activity each week.
Fridays – Basketball: also part of the Active After School Care Program. In the final week we will verse other OOSH’s in the local area in a mini gala afternoon.
