Our Program

Beauty Point OOSH bases their program and practices around the nationally recognised Out of School Hours Framework - My Time, Our Place.

"The My Time, Our Place – Framework for School Age Care in Australia is about making care services for school aged children better.

The framework helps care services to develop opportunities for school aged children to participate in leisure and play-based activities that respond to their needs, interests and choices.

My Time, Our Place is part of the Australian Government's National Quality Framework which is about ensuring children receive a high standard of education and care.

It is one part of the picture that will help Australia realise the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) vision that will see 'all children have the best start in life to create a better future for themselves and for the nation'."

Weekly Program

The Educational Leader at Beauty Point OOSH spends time designing a Weekly Program for the children. Our program is child-centred and child-focused, meaning that the children themselves are key contributors to what is planned here at the service. Our program is a creative program, guided by the children. These are some of intentional activities programmed to build up on ideas, extend play and develop skills. The children are the think tank, they have access to many play resources where they can guide their own play, learning and relationships. These activities are subject only to our children’s imagination! As well as planned experiences, there are also a wide range of resources available for the children to use any time!
